The Arcane Tower is a late-game defensive structure. If placed in the right spot it can become a crucial part of your defense. Arcane Towers use lightning strikes as projectiles that will not only catch one on fire, but also give them negative potion effects. The Arcane Tower automatically fires upon players who are outlaws or members from hostile or at war city-states and civilizations.
Be sure to keep arcane towers 130 blocks away from each other else you cannot place them!
Single enemies can be outlawed using the /town outlaw add <NAME> command.
The potion effects that can be applied by the Arcane Tower can be found below. If you have the Focussed Iris Civic, the effects will be 1 level higher.

It's very important to keep this structure safe during War-Time since it's a crucial structure to help you defend against attackers.
You can upgrade the Arcane Tower to gain buffs towards it's damage, range or Fire Rate.
To level up to the next level, your civilization requires one of the following technologies; Foundation, Urbanization, Politics, Engineering.

Level 6 requires Chichen Itza.
Damage Dealt is quite straight forward. This stat is the damage the tower does whenever the player has been hit the arcane tower. It's counted in half hearts. (2 damage = 1 heart)
Range are calculated from the middle from the structure to the player. If a player is outside of range the tower won't shoot.
Fire Rate means in seconds how fast the arcane tower can shoot. If you have a fire rate of 1 this means that the arcane tower will shoot 1 beam per second.
