The Warlord unit plays a mayor role during War. It can be used as a mobile respawn point for friendly Units anywhere within your own/enemy Culture. Because of his ability the Warlord is a must have for Civilizations that are at war.
Because the Warlord is a key-part in an assault, he will also be targeted. Make sure that defending your Warlord is a high priority!
A Warlord has to be online for 5 minutes to be able to spawn Units. Additionaly Warlords have to spend 2 minutes inside another Civilizations Culture in order to spawn Units.
Units can spawn on a Warlord by selecting it in the respawn panel in the War-room manager. After a Unit has spawned on a Warlord a 10 second cooldown is added before another Unit can spawn, but this can be reduced with the Quick Assist promotion. You have to make sure that you are below the middle of the highest structure of the enemy, else you won't be able to let your civ-mates spawn ontop of you.
If another Warlord spawns on a Warlord the cooldown is 2 minutes.
A Civilization can have up to 3 Warlords, each being unlocked by the 3 Techs above.
You can gain xp by killing mob. Some of them are designed to give you double xp but you can kill any of them. There is also a list of the required amount of experience before you can level your unit.
