The Engineer is the only Unit able to deploy war structures (Warcamps).
It is also never teleported back at the start of War Time unless when you are in an enemy's border, which leads to a much faster and more succesfull attack on another Civilization.
The Engineer has a +1 base bonus damage against structures. Because of his abilities it is a very important Unit when fighting in a War.
In order to promote the Engineer unit, you will have to kill it's designated mob. There is also a list of the required amount of experience before you can level your unit.
