The Strategic Ship is a Tile Improvement that claims a coastal Strategic Good pillar and generates Strategic Good items. It's important to remember that although there is no limit to how many Strategic Ships you can build, there is a limit on how many Tile Improvements you can build depending on your Town level.

Like all Tile Improvements, Strategic Ships can be built anywhere inside your Civ's Culture borders as long as the land is claimed with by your Town.
Strategic Goods are generated on daily tick. They are stored in a chest inside the Ship.
If the Town has a Warehouse Strategic Goods will automatically be send into it's designated Chest Room.
Upgrading your Strategic Outpost level will increase the amount of items generated at upkeep.
To level up to the next level, your town requires one of the following technologies; Commerce, Exporation, Printing Press, Radio or World Trade.
